About:Chengde Travel

From Tianjin to Chengde

Can anyone give suggestions for me?
I am going to Tianjin and arrive at 14.35 at Tianjin airport.
Is there any train directly go to Chengde? Or should I go to Beijing first?
can I be at Chengde before night? If not,is it safe if I arrive at night in Chengde?

There is no direct train at that time from Tianjin to Chengde. It is better for you to go to Beijing first and then take train from Beijing to Chengde. You may arrive Chengde at night and it is generally safe. Do not worry about it.

Dear Lisa,

Tks for your reply. Is it better for me to stay 1 night at.Beijing first or just directly from Tianjin go to Beijing,and take train to Chengde on same day?
Do you have any reference of place to stay at Chengde,perhaps hostel?
Is it easy to go around without using tour services?
