Is it possible for you to get a 1 month tourist visa without invitation letter?

The company of the fiance of my sister provided an invitation letter for me to go to Shanghai China for a vacation. They have provided me a place to stay and other accommodations that I need.What documents should I prepare from my side before I go to the Chinese embassy here in manila and apply for a tourist visa??Since they provided my expenses,would it still be necessary for me to provide this bank certificate?! Is it possible for me to get a tourist visa without a bank certificate? coz I don't have that amount they asked me for a bank certificate. Is it also possible for me get a 1 month tourist visa?

It is impossible for you to get a tourist visa without a bank certificate if it is the first time for you to go to China.
