About:Chinese Embassy in Austria

Do I need a sponsor Letter in order to obtain a china visa

Hi, my first time here ,this website which I find it great.I will be traveling to china in July,so my question would be Do I need a sponsor Letter (in order to obtain a china visa) from my brother who has been in china for many years.And yeah I come from India but residing in Vienna for many years now.

The sponsor letter is not mandatory if you come to China for tourism. If you write the purpose of your visit to China is for Family Visit on the application form, you need to get a sponsor letter from your brother together with the copy of his passport and China residence permit. The relationship certificate is also required.
