About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I am an Irish citizen in Bolivia and I need a Chinese visa.

Can I apply for a Chinese tourist visa from Bolivia? I will not be home in Ireland to apply from there as I am on a year long trip. If I can not apply from Bolivia, where else could I apply from? Thank you.

You can try to apply for Chinese tourist visa from Bolivia, please explain the reason on the visa application form, the visa officer will consider your situation. It's true that you can't apply for a China visa in Ireland before departure and you have to apply it on the route. Generally speaking, temporary visitors should apply China visa in their home country.
