About:Chinese Embassy in India

i need to go to guangzhou for social visit,if i need to go to hong kong and return to guangzhou do i need a double entry visa

yes, you need a double entry visa because you enter Guangzhou twice. Mainland China and Hong Kong apply different exit & enter controls, if go to Hong Kong from Mainland China, it means you exit Mainland China.
