About:Tibet Travel Permit

Is it possible to travel without a tour guide if I stay inside Lhasa?

I work in chengdu and would like to visit Tibet this summer. If I have an entry permit and return train ticket, do I still need to be part of a tour group?

You need to get the entry permit from a travel service. When you get in, you can talk about this with the guide or travel service that you want part tours withou guide.
