About:Hanging Monastery (Xuankong Si)

Shanxi and Jiujaigou.

Hi,

My wife and I will be in Beijing on 16 Oct. and we would like to visit :
1. Datong and Taiyuang ( the Hanging Temple, Yunggang Grotto & the Wooden Pagoda ).
2. Pingyao, Mian Shan ( Cotton Mountain ).
3. Fly to Chengdu visiting Panda Sanctuary, Leshan and Jiujaigou.
4. Join Yangtze River Cruise from Chongqing to Yichang.

Could you suggest how we can do it by ourselves or if you have a small group tour or a private tour.

I would like to suggest a group tour, at least for the cruise part. It is also better to have a rented car to get around the Hanging Temple, Yungang Grotto and the wooden pagoda. There are bullet trains from Beijing to Taiyuan. Then you can take bus to Datong. It is 2 hours by bus from Chengdu to Leshan and 11 hours by bus to Jiuzhaigou. There are bullet trains between Chengdu and Chongqing North, a bit over 2 hours.
