boat to summer palace from beijing zoo

Hi - thanks for your info on the boat to the Summer Palace. But I am a bit confused. I do not wish to visit the Zoo - just want to get the boat from the pier to the Summer Palace. So am wondering if its possible to just get the boat and not buy the entrance to the zoo?Thanks - Jeff

You need to take the boat inside the Zoo, thus you need to buy the zoo entrance ticket. When you enter Beijing Zoo at the entrance ticket office, you can buy the boat ticket which is 40RMB, it in fact includes the entrance fee to Beijing Zoo.
