Are there any long distance buses going from Langdong station into Hong Kong? If so how do you make bookings, is there an online option?

Yes, there is direct bus from Langdong station to Hong Kong. The bus departs at 21:00. There seems no official website for you to book it. You can buy the ticket upon your arrival there. Or you can book it through a travel agency.
