would Summer of winter clothing be needed for travelling in Tibet & Yunnan in September

I think a long-sleeved Tshirt is ok for your Yunnan Trip in Sep., while to Tibet then, you have to take both long-sleeved Tshirt and a thick cotton overcoat, since there is a big temperature difference between the day and night.
