If you will apply for China tourist visa in person, a bank account with 50,000 pesos is ok for visa application. But if you will go through a travel agency, you may be asked more since they will take responsibility for your visit/stay in China.

Thanks, Mr. Alvin. Is that the latest update of requirement from Chinese embassy? My friend recently just went there and was told that they need to present a 3-mo transaction history of their bank cert with min of 70k PHP. I am quite confused if this is true.

If this was from visa officers from Chinese embassy, then, it may be the latest requirements for China visa application.
