About:Chinese Embassy in Venezuela

I am a US citizen with US passport living in Margarita, Venezuela. I want to go to Hong Kong for a 10 day visit. Do I need to purchase my airline ticket (Venezuela/Hong Kong/Venezuela) before applying for a visa? Also, I want to avoid the time and expense of travel to Caracas. Can I get my visa without traveling to Caracas?

If you want to visit HK only for 10 days, no visa is required. Just go with your valid passport and round-way tickets.
