About:Marriage Registration in China

Mrs. Celina; Thank-you for your response. Our son and daughter-in-law did just tell us yesterday that they will receive gifts that will cover the wedding expenses. That is incredible for me to understand. Chinese people must be very generous with their gifts! It is still hard for me to believe that they will invite 500 guests, and that is without any of the groom's family! It is interesting to learn about your customs. Can you suggest a nice gift for our son's new in-laws when we first are welcomed into their home? They brought us gifts when they came here, beautiful hand-made needlework by the brides mother. But I'm not very handy like that. Thanks, everyone!

guests for 500 is possible, guess that among them most are their friends, students and teachers from their universits, and relatives are with no doubt present. Gift for wedding is Chinese tradition. About gifts you bring to your in-laws, they should better be local ones, distinctive or rare in China with your best intentions. Moreover, rings or bracelets for her as wedding gift is a good choice.
