About:China Train

Hello,
I am trying to find out if it is possible to travel from the Vietnamese border (Hekou) to Kunming in China by train? I have looked at a plan of the Chinese rail system which shows it as having a station, but cannot find any details of trains for it? Does this mean that the journey is only accessible by bus?

I am planning to cross the border on the 3rd of May. Any information you can give will be very useful.
Thanks

There are no passenger trains operating from Hekou to Kunming. But you could take bus directly, which costs around CNY160 per person and takes about 9hrs.
