Hi - My Family (3pax) are visiting Mutianyu and temple of heaven in one day end December (either 23, 24,25 or 26December) - We will be staying at Capital Hotel Beijing. Can you please let me know1) what is the best way to go there?2)Will it be cheaper just to hire a taxi for 3 person? and how much would it cost? Our date depend on the weather on that day - do you think it will be difficult to do such arrangement on last minute?

Capital Hotel Beijing is about 10 minutes' walking to Wangfujing Avenue and Chongwenmen Subway Station.1. You can walk to Chongwenmen subway station to take bus no. 110 to Temple of heaven directly. To Mutianyu, you can take Beijing Subway line 2 from Chongwenmen to Dongzhimen, and then transfer to bus no. 936.2. It won't cost too much to Temple of Heaven by taxi from your hotel (about CNY30-40), but it will be much expensive to Mutianyu by taxi, CNY200-300. You can make the decision at last minute, and it will be easy.
