About:China Customs Declaration

Hi,
I intend to travel to China in a few months I am on strong pain killers prescribed by my doctor one is a controlled drug it is called oxycondone hydrochloride i will need to take two boxes of twenty tablets. the other is panadine forte which containes codine i will need to take about 11boxes of 20 tablets for my 16 day holiday i am concerned that i will be refused entry with such a large amount of drugs even though they have been prescribed for personal use. or i may be detained or jailedor may have to pay tax on the price of these drugs can some one please help me with some FACTS.

You do not have to pay tax because if they are not allowed to bring, the customs office will sequestrate them. I suggest you bring the doctor's prescription with you and do not bring too much. When the custom asked you just say painkiller, or for headach or for a cold.

thank you for your reply however the Oxycontin i will need to take 32 of these tablets it is a controlled drug and maybe illegal in china or Tibet as we are intending to tuor extensivly. I dont want to end up in a chinese prison or face the death sentence. The other drug panedine forte each tablet contains 30 mg of codene phosphate plus 500mg of paracetamol i need to take 128tablets for this holiday =64,000mg of paracetamol +3,840mg codene phospate will this be ok i need FACTS Thanks
