Question

Hello! I am a Hongkong citizen studying in Vienna. I might flight Beijing first for visiting a friend before I go back to HK. But my 回乡证 was expired in 2010. May I renew my 回乡证 in Vienna with Chinese embassy and/or may I use only my Hongkong passport travelling in Beijing?  Thanks for your answer in advance!

You need apply for a China travel document from Chinese embassy in Vienna in person with your Hk passport. You can not visit Beijing with your HK passport only. The required documents are original passport and copy, application form for China Travel Document (it can be download from the website of Chinese embassy in Austria in Chinese Version) and 2 passport-sized photos.
