About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

I have a question about the residence permit. My husband is working in Beijing and has just applied for his permit. Our children and I are moving to Beijing at the beginning of June to join him. Will we also have to have residence permits?

You can enter with L visas, but if you intend to stay for longer time with your husband, you can apply for either a one year L visa or a temporary residence permit in Beijing from PSB. Read https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/family-visit-permit.htm if you need more information.
