About:Chinese Embassy in Czech Republic

I am an Australian citizen. I am due to attend a conference in Beijing in August (I have a letter of invitation), arriving August 20, departing August 30. I am leaving Australia on May 12 and not returning until after the conference in China. My travel agent said I am not able to get a visa in Australia before I leave because the visa is only valid for 3 months. She said I should get it in the Czech Republic, where I will be staying in July. However, I notice that in previous answers, you have said that only those with Czech residence or work visas can apply for a visa in the CR. What options are open to me for getting a visa? Thank you.

To apply for a China visa in Hong Kong is easy for you. If possible, you can go to Hong Kong and apply through the Commissioner's Office of the Ministry of China Foreign Affairs for a business visa before visit Beijing. The regular processing takes about 4 working days, express and rush service are also available for visa application.

Thank you for your answer but I apologise if I did not make my situation clear. I will be in the CR at the time during which it is best to apply for the visa and I will be there until the time I fly to Beijing. I already have the air ticket from Prague to Beijing, and it is not possible for me to fly to Hong Kong to get a visa. Is it possible for me to get the visa in the Czech Republic? Or somewhere else in Europe or the UK? Thank you.

But if you enjoy visa free to work or reside in CR, then, you can apply there. If not, the Chinese embassy may refuse your visa application.
