I am on holiday in France and wish to visit China before going back to United Kingdom , how do I apply for my Chinese Visa?

You need to first book online appointment through the CVASC in Paris, then submit visa application to CVASC on appointed date. The embassy in Paris only accepts China visa application from diplomatic/service/official passport holders.
