I think it will be hard for you to travel in Chengdu by yourself if you do not speak Chinese. The highlights in Chengdu, like Leshan and Mt. Emei are a bit far from city area and it will be a long distance transfer, so i suggest you find a travel agency to arrange the tour for you, which will be more easier.
