About:China Customs Declaration

Hello. I will be moving to Beijing and am brining Checked baggage. In addition, I will have a few boxes shipped over seperately. Do I need to itemize everything contained in the boxes and declare their values. Additionally, I will have my personal DVD collection in my checked baggage. Their well over 100 movies. Will I need to declare these through customs as well? Thank you for your help!

DVDs are okay, no need to declare. The boxes shipped should have their own shipping notes. So, you can just declare valuable things.
