About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

I am from the USA and I plan to travel to China at the end of May on a 90 day single entry Visa. I have one misdemeanor crime on my record dating back to 1993. Do I need to let them know on the Visa, I have two concerns. One is if I say yes and give the date I might get denied. Can they access my USA record if I say no? The second concern is of not listing it and that doing more damage then if I did, as a Visa form lie if they find out is an instant denial. Or reason for a future denial.

No one will check it out if you say No to the application form. But once you said Yes, your visa will be denied. There are many people who have the same concern that you can read more from http://community.travelchinaguide.com/forum2.asp?i=39579&page=1
