About:Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles

I have a passport Issued in Texas. But I am currently living in WA. And leaving from here to China. Is there a specific Consulate I need to use? As in do I need to find a visa agency that is located in a certain area, like for example Houston? Or can I use whichever one I want. I've heard you can send it anywhere.

You can use whichever visa agency to send your visa application, in fact, you can first go to China embassy in Washington D.C to enquire whether it accepts your application or not because you live in WA now, if the embassy in WA doesn't accept it, you have to submit your application to China Consulate in Houston
