About:Chinese Consulate in Vancouver

I am a citizen of U.S.A. and would like to apply for a Chinese Visa. Can I apply for it in Vancouver? I will be in Vancouver from 12 to 30 April 2011 and would like to leave for China on 6th May 2011. I am afraid if I send my passport to the Chinese Embassy in Washington DC, USA, it may not get back to me on time to fly to Canada. Thank you so much.

The Consulate-General of the P. R. China in Vancouver only accepts visa applications from B. C. Province and Yukon Territory. You are required to submit your visa application to Chinese embassy over the area you reside. If you can not go there in person, you can entrust someone else to do it on your behalf and also use their Same day rush service for visa processing if you need.
