From Beijing, you could take a flight to Huangshan Airport and then take shuttle bus to downtown Tunxi.
Language should be a problem here especially you are first time in China. So, it is suggested that you participate in a tour group which covers Huangshan, Tangyue Memorial Arches and Hongcun. The public transportation among these places is not so satisfied.
Usually, you could arrive at the foot of Mt. Huangshan in the afternoon and stay one night. On the next early morning, you could start climbing the mountain with the help of cable car and enjoy the charming mountain briefly. During summer time, you could climb up the mountain in the first afternoon and stay one night on the mountain. The next early morning, you could sea excellet cloudy sea and go down the mountain before afternoon. Then, taking a cab to visit other places.
