About:China Transit Visa

Hi, i am an Australian citizen and currently working and living in The Netherlands

I will be coming home to Australia via Beijing and wanted to leave the airport on my 5 hour stopover (on the way there) and again on my 8 hour stopover (on the way back 3 weeks later).

Do i need a visa if i want to leave the airport? I am staying in China for less than 24hrs and i have a booked seat and visa for my destination country (aus)?

Thankyou!

Zac

Yes, you need a double entry transit visa if you want to leave the airport for the two stopovers.
