I'm thinking to plan a trip to Taipei around end Aug.

Is this a suitable time?

August is one of the hottest months in Taiwan with the highest temperature up to around 38℃ (100℉). It is also the typhoon season in Taiwan with a lot of rainfall. You will feel muggy and humid during that time. Better avoid that period to travel to Taiwan.
