You are required to apply for a tourist visa to China in Thailand from the embassy or consulate over the area you reside. Check the consular district first from information on this page.

Ms. ENID,
Thank you for your reply. This afternoon I went to the consular district here and apply for a visa but then the consul said that he cannot grant me and told me to apply to my home country. Does the Chinese Embassy or Consulate follows the same or different law which regards to visa rules?

Chinese Embassy or Consulate follows different law which regards to visa rules, please try another consulate in Thailand, in principal, you can apply for China visa in Thailand because you hold valid Thai visa and work permit
