About:Marriage Registration in China

I am intending to marry a Chinese national. She owns a home in china. she states that under Chinese law, I will also own half of the real estate and therefore I should pay half of the value of the house. Is this correct? I want to make sure I am not being deceived.

Ask her to do a pre-marital property notarization that she is the only owner of the house.
