About:Visa Policy of China

Hi,

I am a Filipino working here in Thailand and I want to visit China for at least 9 days on my way back to the Philippines for my vacation and be back to Thailand to finish my contract. I applied for the Chinese Visa at the Chinese consulate near where I am working but the officer told me that I need to apply in my own country. I am so confused because in their website it doesn't say anything about Filipino should apply for visas in their own country. Can anybody clear this things out for me....What really is their visa rules???

Ms. ENID,
Thanks for your reply...My visa here in Thailand is not a problem because I just renewed my visa and work permit last week and is for 1 year.

Maybe because your work visa/contract in Thailand is vaild for less than half a year. It is the requirement for China visa applicaiton in Thailand for foreign applicants other than Thais.
