I am a Canadian. I am visiting my husband in France. Can I apply a China visa from Paris and visit China by flight? I have neither french visa nor french resience permit since I only plan to stay here for less than 3 months.

You can not apply in france if you don't have the valid French visa or French Residence Permit. But there is other options for you: to apply in your home country if possible, or you can process your visa to China in HK where you enjoy visa free policy for 90 days.
