Plan to visit Shanghai in end April. Read few comments as to East Asia Hotel located at Nanjing Road versus Charms Hotel located at Jiujiang Road, Huangpu District. Do know which to pick ? Appreciate your advise on which of these 2 hotel to pick. Criteria is clean, good 5S and easy access to main tourist area like Yu Yuan Garden, the Bund and those near by.

Thank you in advance.

East Asia Hotel should be a 2-star budget hotel and the Charms Hotel is a 4-star hotel with not bad location and equippment. On the other hand, you could consider Park Hotel Shanghai, Grand Central Hotel, Howard Johnson Plaza and Sofitel Shanghai Hyland Hotel.

Ms. Lim,
I have friends that have stayed at the Charms Hotel and they really liked the rooms and the location. I usually stay in the same area and find shopping, transportation and good restaurants to be very convenient. I'll be in Shanghai at the end of April also...maybe I'll see you out there shopping! Enjoy your visit.
