About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Traveling to China tomorrow night(3/21) from Chicago. China visa is expired and had planned on going to consulate in Chicago for same day processing. Just noticed that the Consulate jurisdiction for Nebraska (where I live) is in Wash DC. Will I have any issues getting my visa in Chicago instead of Wash DC? Seems I recall getting my first two in NYC and then in Houston...

Hoping that jurusdictional listing is just a preference in lieu of a requirement?

Hi, sir, you are required to submit your visa application to Chinese embassy/consulate according to their consular jurisdiction. It is requirement. But if your time limits, you can have a try to apply in Chicago.
