About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

My wife and I have are flying from australia to paris with a stop over in Beijing for for like 5 hours, we are thinking of just going for a quick look around but not if its gonna cost us for a visa.... so do we need to pre-organise a visa?

If you want to leave the airport, you need to apply for a visa (either a transit visa or tourist visa) in advance.
