Hello, A person who has UK and Russian passport will attend a conference in China in May.He has 3 years Japanese working visa  ( until JAN 2014)attached to Russian passport. We are wondering which passport would be the earliest to get a visa and we would like to know how long it takes to get a visa.  In that case, should he apply for Tourist visa (L) or Visit/ Business visa (F)?

You'd better use Russian passport to apply for China visa because 3 year Japanese work visa is attached to Russian passport. It takes 4 working days for visa processing if all requirements are prepared. He should apply for Business Visa (F) to attend a confernece in China, the invitation letter from the conference organizer is required.
