Is it easier to change from malaysian currency to chinese currency compared to from us dollar to chinese currency. By the way what's the difference between chinese yuan and the renminbi

First of all, Chinese yuan (CNY)and RMB is the same. Will you exchange the money in Malaysia or in Chna? In China, you couldn't exchange malaysian currency to RMB directly, so you should change some money in Malaysia or take US dollar to China.
