A medical exam is required for Filipinos to get a work visa, but as I know, it is not required for work visa application in Australia and USA even though the embassy website states it is a requirement. Work visa holders have to apply for Residence Permit within 30 days after entering China, they need to do the medical examination again at the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau for residence permit application.
