Time will be limited on our last day, we are staying at Eaton Smart, Kowloon and wish to go to Lantau. Quickest way to get to the Island, ride the cable car, quick look at the Giant Buddha, bus to Tai O and return to the hotel for 5pm. Is is possible to get a small boat ride arounf tai O - how long will it take and how much will it cost?

Can anyone please help work out an itinerary with timings? If we know which stations and buses to catch we hope not to waste time. What time will we have to leave the hotel in the morning to fit this all in?

Thank you for your help.

I think you could take metro to finish today's trip. From the hotel, you could walk to Jordan and take metro to Tung Chung station. It will take you about 40 minutes and HKD15.5. Then, follow the directions to take Ngong Ping 360 cable car to the Giant Buddha. You could leave from the hotel early in the morning and finish this tour around 11:00.

Then, at Ngong Ping Bus Terminal, you could take bus 21 to Tai O directly in 20 minutes. Finally, take bus 11 for about one hour from Tai O back to Tung Chung and return to the hotel by metro.
