About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Hello! Do we need an appointment for applying for a visa? When is best time to come. Also, we will be taking my son's friend, a half-Filipno half-British boy with us and wonder if it is required to already have the Department of Social Welfare Travel Clearance to get his visa. His mother has not gotten it yet and I would like to apply for the visa while she is getting the clearance if possible. We do have a notarized Affidavit from her giving her permission for him to travel with us and for us to be his guardian. We are American and his passport is British. Thank you again!

No appointment is needed, and you'd better go to Chinese embassy in the morning. The travel clearance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development is issued to Minor Filipino Citizens only. So if he is a British passport holder, no travel clearance is required.
