About:How to Get from Hangzhou to Shanghai

Hi, I'm going to travel in Shanghai from 12-19 May 2011. I will arrive in Xiaoshan International airport(Hangzhou) at 10:20pm, and I will stay in a hotel around People's square. How can I get to there from the airport?

You can take the airport shuttle bus from airport to Hangzhou railway station, then take train to Shanghai. After arriving Shanghai, take a taxi to the hotel.

Thanks for your info Alice. However, is it possible to find that shuttle bus and railway in that late night? If so, how much I will it cost?

The shuttle bus will be in operation until the last flight arrival, so you could one upon arrival. However, the train will be stop at late night. You'd better make a proper plan.

Thanks for your advice Sam, is it a good idea to stay in Hangzhou for one night? or I should go directly to Shanghai?

If possible, it should be better to stay one night in Hangzhou. You could book a hotel around Hangzhou Railway Station and then take a train to Shanghai here the next morning.
