About:Chinese Consulate in San Francisco

Dear Sir:
I am planning to join a tour group scheduled to leave SF on May 22, 2011 for
China for 15 days. When should I apply for a visa? Do I have to apply in
person, or can I have someone else and would that person need an authorization
letter?

Thank you.

Ven Louie

You can start your visa processing now or in April since China visa is valid for 3 month from issue date. Application can be submitted by someone else you entrusted and no authorization letter is needed.
