Dear Sir:I am planning to join a tour group scheduled to leave SF on May 22, 2011 forChina for 15 days.  When should I apply for a visa?  Do I have to apply inperson, or can I have someone else and would that person need an authorizationletter?Thank you.Ven Louie

You can start your visa processing now or in April since China visa is valid for 3 month from issue date. Application can be submitted by someone else you entrusted and no authorization letter is needed.
