Hello. If I plan to take the sleeper train T51/T54 from Urumqi to Shanghai, how much would this cost. And would it be possible to get off of the train at certain stops for an extended visit to the area, and then get on the train again using the same ticket? Thank you.

The ticket price is about CNY1079 per lower soft sleeper from Urumqi to Shanghai and it takes around 45hrs. Really a long route! If you take a berth, it is impossible for you to continue the trip with the same ticket after getting off at the station on the midway since the sleeper ticket will become invalid once you getting off the train.
