About:China Consulate in Houston

My wife is a Chinese national and needs to renew her Chinese Passport. What paperwork does she require and how much does this cost? Is a certified cheque required for payment? I will be driving her to houston next week. Please answer asap.

She needs to prepare the below documents:
1. one completed Chinese Passport Application Form
2. two recent passport photos
3. her passport and photocopy of its date pages, visa pages, exit & enter record
4. the original and photocopy of US Green Card, or Work Permit, or I-20 Form, or valid US Visa or other additional documents

It costs US$ 55, it takes about one month, personal cheque is not accepted, the consulate only accepts Money Order、Cashier's Check、MASTERCARD or VISA Card
