About:Datong Transportation

What is the best way to get from Datong to Nanjing? I see above that there's a sleeper bus; does anyone know how long that would take or how much it would cost? And what about a train or a plane--is either of those an option, and does anyone know any details?

It takes about 18 hours by bus from Datong to Nanjing. There is one train at 16:32 from Datong to Nanjing and the train journey takes about 17 hour. There is no direct flight from Datong to Nanjing. I suggest you take the train.
