As you are from Pakistan, you need to apply for driving permit at Chinese Embassy.
For other necessaries, I think you must have good map, enough water and gasoline, wind resistance glasses, helmet, scarf, gloves, tent and sleeping bag that you can sleep in at night, the night might be pretty cold. Don't forget some thick clothes, since it would be very cold on mountains.
