About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

Hello, I will be traveling to China on May 14th for 2 weeks. I am wondering if I will be ok since my U.S passport expires in mid-November. Will the Chinese government allow me to travel or is that too close to the 6 month limit of passport expiration? Please let me know. thanks! (I think my passport expires on 11/18/2011)

A passport with at least 6 months remaining validity is required for China visa application, once you get a China visa, you can enter and exit China if your passport is still valid.

It is ok for you to travel to China on May 14th and stay for 2 weeks with your passport, please apply for a China tourist visa in April.
