About:China Customs Declaration

I am planning to travel to China at the end of this March. I plan to bring my macbook pro, a dslr nikon d90, and also an ipad with me to china. These are all for personal use when I'm traveling there. Will I need to declare it? If I plan to leave my ipad for my niece as a gift, should I declare it at the custom? Also, does that mean I have to pay the 20% import tax?

If all your stuff are for personal use, you needn't pay the import tax. If you plan to leave your ipad for your niece as a gift, you need to pay 10% importa tax.
