About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

I am currently apply visa F for 3-month internship in Shanghai however it may take a while to obtain visa approval. I plan to enter on social visit pass into Shanghai and then wait for the approval for visa L from China consulate in Singapore. Can I then apply for visa F in Shanghai once I obtain the visa approval from the China consulate in Singapore?

You are not required visa to China for not exceeding 15 days, but you need to leave and enter again with your F visa approved in Singapore. F visa can not issued within China.
