About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

hi
I am traveling to Shanghai from Toronto. I have a Hongkong visa card that enables me to travel into China. Do I still need to apply for another visa if entering from Canada? Thanks for your help.

How long will you stay in Shanghai? Will you go to other countries after Shanghai? If you will go back to Canada after Shanghai, then you do have to apply for a China visa from the visa office in HK.
